More than 100 children joined an Easter egg hunt in aid of the Rockinghorse Children’s Charity in Uckfield on Friday.

It was organised by Dawson Hart solicitors and held at the Uckfield Rugby Club.dawson-hart-eggs-3

The hunt was held in woodland and there were plenty more activities to entertain the children, including a bouncy castle, face painting, crafts and tombola.

Laura Manton of Dawson Hart said: “It was a very well supported event and not even the weather dampened anyone’s spirits. We raised over £650 and all the children had a thoroughly good time.

“In addition, because of the generosity of Tesco customers we were also able to donate some additional Easter eggs to the children in the Alexndra Children’s Hospital today.”

The Rockinghorse Children’s Charity is the official fund-raising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital.

It was set up 45 years ago to provide additional resources to improve healthcare services for sick children and babies, such as life-saving equipment and to provide an environment that is better suited to children.

They don’t get any Government funding and rely on generous outside support from individuals and organisations.
