This is Poppy who went missing in Maresfield at the end of October. She came home again this morning.

Missing Poppy is home again in Maresfield – but Kitty is still missing

Updated on Monday, November 20: Poppy a black and white cat which went missing in Maresfield at the end of October is home again.

Her owner Debbie Fox says she walked in this morning – very tired and hungry.

Sadly, Kitty a silver grey tabby/tortoiseshell which went missing around the same time is still missing.

Kitty’s owner Jo Hayman said it would be lovely if she just walked in like Poppy. “I’m glad for Poppy’s owner though.”

If you have any news about Kitty please contact joanne@hayman.info.

Updated on Wednesday, November 8: Have you seen either of two cats missing in Maresfield? One is silver grey tabby/tortoiseshell Kitty and the other black and white Poppy.

Kitty went missing from Maresfield Park on Saturday, October 28, and her owner Jo Hayman thinks fireworks scared her.

Poppy, or Pops, was last seen on Parklands Estate on October 29 or 30. Normally she would be in for breakfast and liked to pop in late in the evening.

Jo, owner of Kitty, told Uckfield News: “I have looked everywhere for her, put posters up and letters through a few doors.

“I don’t know if she has been hit by a car? Or locked in a shed? I would be happy to give a reward of £100 for information leading to her being found. We are so desperate. She has a brother cat who misses her so much.”

If you can help Jo can be contacted by email at joanne@hayman.info.

Debbie Fox, owner of Poppy, said her cat is four years old, and shy and timid. Poppy lives on Parklands Estate and always goes over the back fence into Maresfield Park gardens.

Debbie saw our story about Kitty which made her fear the disappearances could be linked and she really hopes that isn’t the case.

If you think you have seen Poppy please contact Uckfield News on 01825 760102 and we will pass a message on to Debbie.
