A no entry sign reminding drivers they must use the western 'leg' (field side) of the Luxford Field car park to head north

Luxford Field car park signs remind Uckfield drivers of one-way system

Signs in the Luxford Field car park, Uckfield, are reminding drivers that a one-way system operates.

In the shoppers’ car park (three-hour limit) traffic heading south goes down the eastern side of the car park, while traffic heading north goes up the western side.

Until recently, the one-way system was signed by arrows painted on the road surface.

Now a “no entry” side has been placed at the entrance to the car park from Civic Approach with a sign indicating one-way near the Luxford Centre.

The free car park is operated by Wealden District Council with parking restrictions monitored by cameras and visits by a parking warden.
