Wanted man Luke Sambrook arrested in Uckfield

Update on Thursday, November 19: Luke Sambrook who was wanted by police after failing to appear in court has been arrested.

He handed himself in at Uckfield Police Station yesterday, November 18, and was due to appear at Brighton Remand Court today.

Our original story on Tuesday, November 17: Police are hunting for Luke Sambrook, 20, after he failed to attend court.

A police spokesman said he had links to the Uckfield area.

In a statement, the police said he was “wanted on warrant after failing to appear at Hastings Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, November 11, in relation to a shoplifting charge”.

They described him as 5ft 4in tall with brown wavy hair and blue eyes.

Anyone seeing him should call 999 immediately, but other information as to his whereabouts can be emailed to101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or phoned through to 101.
