All other year groups took part, as did the children of the Ducklings nursery.

The school hopes to raise many hundreds of pounds for the charity – last year’s event topped £3,500.

It is the second year running that Harlands has staged a Race for Life.

Laura Fair, the Interim Head of School, said the charity was chosen because the school had been affected by the disease.
