If you have too many handbags and are planning a clear out then any spares would be gratefully received to raise funds for The Kit Wilson Trust for Animal Welfare.
Sarah Allen, who lives in Hadlow Down where the charity is based, raises funds for a different charity each year and has decided that this time she should help the one closest to her home.
She is looking for bags that are in good condition – anything that somebody else might want to buy. If a handle is breaking or the bag is frayed then those are best avoided.
Sarah is being helped by her friend Chris Martin, from New Town in Uckfield. Chris’s two dogs both came to her through the charity and she is impressed by the work they do.
The Kit Wilson Trust rescues and re-homes unwanted animals, mainly cats and dogs, and has a wildlife rehabilitation programme and emergency help line.
The trust’s rescue centre is also home to horses, donkeys, cats, goats, birds and small mammals where, in the interest of their welfare, they remain in care.
Sarah will be selling handbags on a stall at Uckfield Festival’s Big Day Out on Saturday, July 8, on the Luxford Field, and at Crowborough Fun Day on Saturday, June 3.
If you need a new handbag then please look out for Sarah at either of those events.
In the meantime if you have bags to spare please contact Sarah on 07906 932295 or 01825 831958 or by emailing her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Chris can be contacted on 07761 374093 or 01825 769026 or by email at email@example.com.
