Fun run will help raise funds for new hall at Little Horsted School

A fun run is to be held next month to help raise funds for a new hall at Little Horsted Primary School.

There will be 1K, 5K and 10K runs during the event on Sunday, June 12.

The start and finish will be at Isfield Cricket Pitch. There will be refreshments for the runners and their families and prizes for the winners.

People of all abilities are welcome to take part and anyone interested can download an application form by following this link.

Little Horsted School has to raise £64,000 – ten per cent of the total cost – towards the new hall which is needed to accommodate a growing number of pupils.

The current hall is half the recommended size which limits what it can be used for.

Work is due to begin on the hall once the school has broken up for the summer holiday and is due to be completed by Easter of next year.

Headmaster, Michael Davies said “The Fun Run will be a great way for people to show support for the school and contribute to its future whilst enjoying a healthy outdoors activity. We had 200 runners at last year's event and hope that this year will be even more succesful.”
