French twinning visitors to arrive in Uckfield later this month

A party of French twin town visitors are due to come to Uckfield for a weekend at the end of this month.

They will be welcomed by the Uckfield and District Twinning Association almost a year after the signing of a twinning charter.

Association members have already visited Arques Le Bataille and now have a variety of activities planned for the return visit over the weekend of May 26 and 27. They include a visit to the Brighton Festival, a walk on the Ashdown Forest, and a visit to the Nutley Windmill followed by a garden tea.

New members are always welcome to join the association. Anybody interested should contact David Sudbery on 01825 733318.

Here is a story we carried at the time the historic twinning charter was signed: Children watch as historic charter is signed in Uckfield.
