Four-cornered fight in by-election for Uckfield Town Council seat

Electors in the Uckfield Town Council  North Ward will choose from four candidates when they go to the polls for a by-election on Thursday, July 12.

Three political parties have put forward candidates – Labour, Liberal Democrats and Green. There is no entry for the fourth person under the heading Description (if any) on the official Statement of Persons Nominated.

The by-election was called following the resignation of James Anderson.

The candidates are:

  • Daniel Manvell, of West View, Labour Party
  • Tim Murray of Downsview Crescent, Liberal Democrats
  • Freddie Newman, of Framfield Road
  • Pam Tysh, Bell Lane, Nutley, Green Party

There will be two polling stations on July 12. They will be open from 7am to 10pm at:

Mobile classroom, front of school, Manor Primary School, Downsview Crescent, Uckfield, TN22 1UB, and The Cardale Hall, The Belmont Centre, Belmont Road, Uckfield, TN22 1BP.

Polling cards will not be sent out but there is more information about voting on the Wealden Council website.
