Fabulous display of Easter bonnets at Manor Primary School

An array of Easter bonnets were on display at Manor Primary School this afternoon and the weather was perfect for showing them off to parents.

Foundation and Year 1 children worked hard on building their creations, some at home and some in the classroom.

Teachers Lisa Eagle, from Year 1 Diamond, and Sue Burden who oversees the Foundation Stage, looked on as the parade took place and agreed the children had done a very good job.

They said the parade was a celebration as the children finished their Easter learning. They have learned the Easter story and acted it out, written their own stories, and eaten hot cross buns.

It fell to assistant head teacher Mrs Mandy Lanham to choose the winners of the best Easter bonnets. She had such a tricky task that she chose two ‘special winners’ in addition to some from Foundation and Year 1.
