Expectations fabric store celebrates a year in business

Expectations, the fabric store and more, off the A22 at Whitesmith, near Uckfield, is celebrating a year in business.

Owner Chris Worrall said he was pleased to be providing a professional fabric outlet offering value-for-money curtain and upholstery textiles at competitive prices.

Since opening, the store has been redesigned to present fabrics available by the metre from leading design houses. New areas display roller blinds and wooden blinds to order.

Mr Worrall said Expectations had developed into a design and creation centre with a full-time workroom for making curtains and Roman blinds and this was responsible for a large part of the company’s success.

In addition, measuring and fitting services had been expanded and large hotel and commercial contracts have been fulfilled.

Mr Worrall added: “When I started the business my over-riding criteria was service, good old-fashioned honest advice and helpfulness. Certainly in the last 12 months we have been delighted with the returning customers wanting us to do other rooms in their properties, and customers’ recommendations.

“I would like to thank all customers and suppliers who have supported us, and look forward to seeing new customers.”
