East Sussex Dance School celebrates successes

East Sussex Dance School is celebrating exam success and the news that one of its students has been accepted as an associate at the Legat School of Russian Ballet in Wadhurst.

Principal of the East Sussex Dance School, which is based at Five Ashes, Jenna Crescenzo said she was pleased that head girl Kira Nichols, 15, is to attend Legat every Saturday while continuing her training with East Sussex Dance.

Jenna said: “We will be working together on heping Kira achieve her dream career in the arts.”

She added: “We are so excited to have a connection to the Legat as deputy head Miss Carys, also my sister, was accepted and took a place at the school in 1995 for a year’s training before heading on to what is now known as Tring Park School for the Performing Arts and where one of our pupils Louella Hinton-Avery will be going from September.”

Jenna said her school has just received ISTD modern and tap exam results and they have maintained their 100% success rate. More than 60% of pupils gained distinctions.

Tabatha Collier and Charlotte Poland both got very high As in their Grade 2 modern exam. Charlotte gained the highest mark ever at the East Sussex Dance School, with 89. With the girls is school principal Jenna Crescenzo.
