Yellow lines are down in Uckfield High Street

Double yellow lines go down in Uckfield High Street

Parking along much of Uckfield High Street is now regulated by double yellow lines.

They went in yesterday (September 12) as the High Street improvement works reach their closing stages.

The bus stops are marked with a thicker yellow line which indicate no stopping, except buses.

Double yellow lines indicate the prohibition of parking at any time and do not need additional signs.

The Highway Code says you should not park on, or partially on, the pavement, unless signs permit it.

You must not park in spaces designated for specific users; eg: disabled people.

How will the parking restrictions be enforced? See this story from last week.
