Dog grooming business could open in Uckfield garage

A garage at Ashdown, 14 Highlands Avenue, Uckfield, could be used by a dog grooming business if a planning application before Wealden Council is approved.

The plan has been submitted by Mrs Ruth Rowlinson who says the outbuilding would be used for 26 hours a week, if fully booked, from Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm. There would be appointments only and “ample” private parking is available.

She says the garage is too narrow to house a car and for the past ten years it has been used for family storage.
