About The Buxted Inn
Contemporary accommodation, locally-sourced food and a good selection of beers, ales and fine wines are available at The Buxted Inn and all are offered within a welcoming atmosphere.
Whether you are looking for an over-night stay, relaxing weekend, a light lunch, evening meal, family dinner celebration, or event, the dedicated team there can cater for every occasion.
The Buxted inn has been run by the Bailey family for 33 years beginning with Jackie and Ted and now by their son Jason who has so far overseen four years of improvements. Next on the list is refurbishment of the bar and restaurant scheduled to take place next year.
Twenty members of staff work together to ensure a friendly welcome and enjoyable experience for customers.
In the kitchen head chef Greg Coleman oversees the creation of highly praised food. He works with a sous chef, junior sous chef and an apprentice who is nearing completion of her training. Another apprentice has just started work there.
Food is served daily, Monday to Saturday from noon to 2.30pm and from 6pm until 9pm and on Sundays from noon to 5pm.
There is a daily specials board and traditional roasts are served on a Sunday along with the normal menu.
For those planning an overnight stay, or longer break, The Buxted Inn has eight en-suite contemporary bedrooms designed under the watchful eye of Jason who studied catering at Brighton before working in the wine business, spending some time in America, and then running an hotel in Ireland.
After that he ran three Premier Inns for Whitbread before being invited in by his parents to take over the family business.
All are welcome at the Inn, there’s a chance to play ladies’ darts or watch football in the bar, relax in a quiet corner over a drink, or enjoy a superb meal in the restaurant before retiring for the night in one of the clean and comfortable rooms.
Jason said: “We pride ourselves on being a village pub while at the same time being a popular destination for diners and people looking for a break or on business.”
