Cyclist taken to hospital after collision in Uckfield

A cyclist was taken to hospital on Friday morning after being involved in a collision with a car.police accident

The accident happened at the New Town junction with Framfield Road at about 6.25am.

It involved a white Vauxhall Astra and a bicycle. The cyclist, a 47-year-old man from Uckfield, was described by police as suffering “a minor injury”. He was taken to Eastbourne District General Hospital.

The car driver, a 55-year-old man from Uckfield was uninjured.
