‘Croydon cat killer’ thought to be responsible for Uckfield pet’s death

The owner of a cat found dead in Uckfield this morning has been told by police that they believe the ‘Croydon M25 cat killer’ was responsible for its death.

Elaine Smith told Uckfield News her pet Massive went missing on the morning of Friday, November 3. He didn’t come home in the evening and she began searching for him.

Massive was put on her lawn this morning.

Elaine said she posted about the distressing incident on the Uckfield Talk Facebook page in the hope other owners could keep an eye on their pets. She said: “I don’t want anyone else to go through what we have today.”

She said scenes of crime officers had been at her home in The Mount all morning and confirmed the cat was killed by the so-called Croydon/M25 cat killer.

She added that all details had been passed to the Metropolitan Police who were dealing with the case.

If anyone has any information it can be passed on to the police via 101.
