Cosmetic camouflage expert visits Element Health and Wellbeing team

An octogenarian awarded an MBE for her work in cosmetic camouflage was among visitors to Element Health and Wellbeing in Uckfield during late night shopping on Friday.

The work of Rita Roberts Upchurch has helped people suffering facial burns and other disfigurements.

She began practicing camouflage techniques on herself following an accident and then, as a Red Cross volunteer helped with a new service of therapeutic beauty care within hospitals. Now cosmetic camouflage is recognised as a level three qualification available for students in beauty and nursing colleges.

Rita was pictured during her visit with Element Health and Wellbeing owner Ayesha Kettell and, new to the Element team, skin care specialist Lesley Watson.

Lesley will be holding taster sessions and have introductory, festive, seasonal offers.

She favours Cosmetics a La Carte ‘Bespoke British Beauty’ products which are free from sulphates, parabens and artificial fragrance in her treatments.

Lesley also promotes Nouveau Lashes and LVL-lash lift a natural treatment to give the appearance of fuller, thicker and curled lashes.
