Club helps to create a Lions Den in Uckfield

A Lions Den is being built in Uckfield thanks to the town’s Lions Club.

It will be found in the form of a soft play area at the Children’s Respite Trust day centre in Grange Road and made up of play pods and play mats.

Uckfield Lions Club has donated more than £4,700 towards creating the play area and is pleased that it will be known as the Lions Den.

Uckfield Lions presented their cheque to trust chief executive Gavin Fisher at a business meeting last week where Gavin also gave a presentation about the charity’s work.

The centre is being developed to provide day care for disabled children and is funded entirely through donations and fund-raising events. Volunteers are welcome to get involved.
