The event has been planned as part of the Uckfield Festival which got off to a roaring start yesterday with stalls, sideshows and entertainment at the Big Day Out set off with a dazzling children’s parade.
If you’d like a reminder of those events see our stories here:
At the classic car show, which runs from 10am to 4pm there will be music from the rockabilly/rock ‘n roll band Memphis Flyers at 11am and noon, and Uckfield Concert Brass will play at 2pm and 3pm.
There will be more music tonight when the Billy Walton Band from New Jersey plays at Uckfield Civic Centre as part of their tour of the Netherlands, Germany and UK.
Supporting the Billy Walton Band will by Uckfield’s own rock/blues band Red Butler which is fast making a name for itself across Britain and Europe.
Other festival events taking place today are the Uckfield Lions 10k run which starts and finishes at the Rugby Club. Money raise will be used to support local charities.
There’s an historical walk, A North-West Passage which starts at Bridge cottage at 4.30pm and includes railway remains, woods, water and Streatfeilds.
The Ragdolls at Buxted Park Hotel
• It’s also worth noting that The Ragdolls will be performing at Buxted Park Hotel tonight covering the musical journey of one of the most successful bands of all time – Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons. More about that here: The Ragdolls – Jersey Boys Tribute.
