Claire Dowling, Conservative wins Uckfield seat on county council

Claire Dowling.

Conservative Claire Dowling won the Uckfield seat on East Sussex County Council in elections held yesterday.

She won 928 votes, 32.3% of the total cast.

Liberal Democrat Paul Sparks who previously held the seat received 880 votes, 30.7% of the total.

John Horlock, Labour, won 298 votes and Mike Mayo, UK Independence won 764 votes.

The total possible votes was 8885 and 32% of people turned out to vote.
