Chance to question Uckfield councillors at town meeting

Uckfield residents will have chance to put questions to members of the town council at the annual town meeting later this month.

The meeting is due to take place at the Civic Centre on Monday, April 26, at 7.30pm, but there will be light refreshments from 6.45pm and the opportunity to meet with the mayor and councillors then.

Questions may be posed on the evening but people are encouraged to contact the council in advance so that more detailed responses can be given, particularly where more information may be needed from other councils or agencies.

In the past there have been questions about litter, the possibility of having a youth mayor for the town, the town centre masterplan and traffic management schemes.

There have also been questions about facilities at Ridgewood Recreation Ground, allotments, Luxfords Restaurant, the proposed doctors' surgery at West Park and the reinstatement of the Uckfield to Lewes rail link.
