Cat adoption centre raises more than £4,500 at open day

More than £4,500 was raised for the National Cat Adoption Centre, at Chelwood Gate, at an open day.

Nearly 1,700 people went along on July 1 – 200 more than last year – and 11 cats were reserved on the day.

Visitors are always welcome at the centre and even if you don’t plan to adopt a cate you can visit Cat Walk and Cat Alley, follow a nature trail and meet donkeys on the site.

More dates for your diary coming up at the centre include Black Cat day on Sunday, November 4, and Santa’s Grotto Day on Sunday, December 2.
