Can you help with Marie Curie collections in Uckfield?

Marie Curie, a charity offering care and support through terminal illness, is looking for people to help with collections being held in Uckfield and Heathfield this month.marie-curie-new-logo

The Uckfield collections will be made outside Tesco, on Friday, December 9, and Sunday, December 11.

The Heathfield collections will be outside Waitrose on Saturday, December 17, and Sunday, December 18.

Richard Long, chairman of the Marie Curie Uckfield Fund-raising group said each slot for collectors is for two hours with a maximum of two people per slot.

He said: “I know the dates are close to Christmas and of course time is at a premium during this period, but if you can spare a couple of hours on one of the days then that will be absolutely fantastic and I thank you in advance.

“For every £20 raised this equates to one hour of one-to-one Marie Curie care for those in their darkest hours, and also provides support to immediate family and friends.”

If you can help please follow this link to http://www.mariecurie.org.uk/collections where you can sign-up direct. The page shows how many spaces are free on each slot.

And Richard Long can be contacted direct on uckfield.mariecurie@gmail.com.
