Buxted mother-of-three Holly Shaw has started a blog about her exploits after taking up road cycling.
Holly starts by writing about her first group ride, talks about the trouble she had getting used to cleats and shares tips for the beginner.
Holly takes part in free group rides from the Propel Bikes shop in Uckfield on Tuesday evenings and a female-friendly ride on Saturdays.
Friendly and fun
She said: “You do have to have a road bike to come along but it’s very friendly and fun.”
Holly who is married to John, has three children under the age of five, a set of identical four-year-old twins and a two-year-old son, who take up most of her time.
She used to run before starting cycling but cycling has taken over as her primary sport now.
Holly is also in the early stages of starting her own business, launching a children’s clothing range, of dinosaur clothes for little girls.
“My girls are Dino obsessed and you can’t get girls clothes with dinosaurs on so I’ve made some.”
