Bentley Miniature Railway is holding its first ever gala this weekend.
Visiting engines will join the railway’s own standard gauge locomotives which have been built based on full-size prototypes.
There will be steam and battery electric models including Bentley Miniature Railway’s own Black 5, BR Class 2, an 0-6-0 saddle tank ‘Holmside’, a pair of Class 31 diesel locomotives and a Class 12 diesel locomotive.
Visitors will incude a GWR Mogul and a BR Standard 4 Tank.
An intensive service is planned with small trains departing at frequent intervals around the one-mile ground-level track.
The organisers say: “If you love standard gauge locos, and you love miniature railways, please come and spend some time with us over this special weekend.”
You can get to the railway by paying for entry to Bentley Wildfowl and Motor Museum. After that other park attractions such as the motor museum and wildfowl reserve make it a day out for the whole family.
