The Picture House in Uckfield has won its third award in three years.
The latest is Best Independent Cinema Team in the More 2 Screen Media and Film Talent Awards.
More 2 Screen is a leading distributor of cinema events to audiences around the world and the award recognises The Picture House where 25% of its content is arts on screen, compared with an average of three per cent for most cinemas.

Recent screenings from More 2 Screen have incuded Hokusai from the British Museum, and the latest live season from The Royal Opera House.
Previous awards were for being ‘highly commended’ Cinema of the Year 2016 in the Screen Awards, which recognised exellence in UK film distribution, exhibition, marketing, publicity and brand partnerships.
The Picture House Cinema and Restaurant was also winner of a restaurant, hospitality and leisure award in the Uckfield Business Awards 2016.
The restaurant opened in December 2014 with the aim of providing a complete night out for cinema-goers. It offers movie meal deals and theatre meal deals in additiona to film-themed events and live music.
Nicolette Howard from The Picture House said: “These awards recognise the work and dedication that has gone into this family-run business over the last 50 years, to keep ahead of an ever-changing business where other cinemas have disappeared.
“In the last three years £500,000 has gone into refurbishing the 100-year-old cinema and opening the restaurant, which really takes it forward into the 21st century. These awards are a testament to that.
The Picture House, which is owned by the Markwick family, featured last year on BBC Radio 4 Film Programme, in A Tale of Two Picture Houses.
