Uckfield Lions raised £2,200 for the Sussex, Kent and Surrey Air Ambulance through an Easter Egg raffle held in pubs and other venues.
The money will go towards a portable head scanner to be carried in the helicopter.
The Lions said 19 eggs were raffled and they thanks publicans and customers who helped boost the fund-raising.
They added the event was marred by the theft of a collecting tin from Bishops the butchers which contained about £300 but due to hard work of staff in the shop, and generosity of Uckfield people, donations more than covered the loss with £1,000 being given.
