15-year-old Uckfield boy sentenced after admitting burglary and theft

A 15-year-old boy from Uckfield has been sentenced after admitting burglary, other than dwelling – theft; and theft of a charity box from a shop, according to police.sussex-police-new-logo-nov-2017

They say he was given a youth rehabilitation order for both offences.

The information was shared after Uckfield News asked police what happened to three suspects arrested in August following the thefts of charity boxes from Uckfield shops.

They gave details of the 15-year-old dealt with and said two other people have been released under investigation for other matters.

They are:

A 15-year-old boy from Eastbourne arrested on suspicion of burglary, other than dwelling – theft; burglary, other than dwelling, with intent to steal; two counts of theft from a shop; possession of a class B drug (cannabis), and theft by finding.

A 16-year-old girl from Uckfield is being investigated for burglary, other than dwelling – theft; burglary, other than dwelling, with intent to steal; attempted burglary, other than dwelling, with intent to steal; two counts of theft from a shop, and two counts of theft by finding.
